When Jess called me to say she met 'The One,' I immediately started my background check. Not because I'm overprotective – okay, maybe a little – but because anyone dating my best friend needs to pass the vibe check.
Tom, I'm happy to report you passed. Eventually. After I grilled you at that dinner party and you still came back for more. That's when I knew you were either crazy or genuinely in love. Turns out it was both.
Jess and I have been partners in crime since freshman year of college. We've survived bad haircuts, worse boyfriends, questionable late-night food decisions, and that one spring break trip we swore we'd never speak of again.
Through all of it, Jess has been the most loyal, hilarious, and genuinely good-hearted person I know. She's the friend who shows up with ice cream before you even call, who remembers every birthday, and who will absolutely roast you when you need it.
